Atmosphere of Sound

There is something to be said
For an atmosphere of sound
Thunder that rumbles the house
Causing car alarms to ring out
The thief today is rolling thunder
Stealing a quiet summer day
Birds in flight seek shelter
Thickening clouds announce
Commencement of the rain
Air is cleansed presenting
A sweetness that lingers
Some newness, natures gift
Which freshens city air.

I love the scent of rain washed ionized air -- and here it is poetically.
