Priceless Gifts

The telephone usually quiet now rings incessantly. Grown children stop chasing their dreams long enough to telephone with birthday greetings and a plan to visit with their father.
We spend an amazing weekend with our most valued treasure, family. Walking, talking, sharing meals. Dad is taken to the movies. We crowd into an already full van and travel together for a beach outing. Here we set up tents and blankets as if we planned to stay for much longer than this day. Instructions are shared with the next generation on how to ride the ocean waves. Conversation flows with the gentle breeze. This is a perfect family day.
These are the priceless gifts that have no dollar tag to discount. This is family life, we would not trade for a barrel full of gold.
