Winds of Change

Gentle breezes now are gone
Replaced by stronger winds
Leaves have toppled to the ground
But for a few that cling to branches
Set against the winds
Change is coming once again
Marriages and pregnancies
Announcement of engagement
College search and resumes
The house one large became too small
Now once again the house seems huge
With changes
A whirlwind, a cyclone storm
Spinning through our family tree
Soon everything will settle down
And spring will come
Each change that caused confusion
And excitement will be accepted as
The norm and once again our lives
Will have stood braced against the storm
