Slender Maiden

Slender maiden stretches her toes
downward toward the earthen snow
disguised within frozen sap this
slender maiden a debutante
sweetly dressed for this display
will bring forth smiles hidden beneath
her shield of bark
once warmed by firewood she emits
her gifts of aromatic maple sugar days

Maple Syrup, The memories of walking in the woods on a March Sunday and finding a Maple Tree that someone is harvesting the Sap to make syrup. I know what I got to get now at the store.

Hope you are OK Pauline,

Happy thoughts from Calgary are being wished for you.
