Patriotism in the Sky

In the dark of evening light
Toward the hills my eyes
Are cast
When all at once, a burst
Of flames
Then colors bright above
The blue hills chain
Red, blue, starry white
Colors all to celebrate
July 4th our Independence
Day.
I saw the dark of evening light
Change before my eyes
I witnessed hope, faith and pride
I watched this beautiful display of
Patriotism in the sky.
