Nana's Dream

I long to spend enjoyable time
With two beautiful little girls
But they argue, complain and
Criticize
They refuse to be in a state of joy
Too soon it seems to me
They are angry at the world
Looking for subjects of discontent
Instead of just being innocent
Childish little girls
I long to have some peaceful time
To share some happiness
For all too soon they will be grown
With heartaches of their own
How can I share this Nana's dream
To laugh and love and play
Tomorrow's world is all unknown
We only have today.

Elsewhere

Teenage strife
clashes with parents
tomorrow lurks beyond the moon
and life
seems about to happen
elsewhere....

It is a part of growing up, this bickering, and because they are so young they do not see what they are letting pass by.

Yes, it is difficult to reach them. Just because I am aware of the sand running out of the glass; doesnot in any way reflect the image of eternal yougth. That gift of elongated moments of time. Love to you in the sunshine capital.
