Early morning, I am awakened by the songs of a
cardinal. So lovely that I am not even perturbed
by the early hour my clock displays. I listen
contentedly in the pre-dawn light. After the
serenade I amble to the kitchen, ham and eggs are
sizzling on the stove. Still relaxed, I hesitate to
join the hurrying crowds of Saturday chores. When
I do venture out expectations are met with lines of
traffic; each positioning themselves for first place.
Amused, I let them go, hurrying along to the beat of
some silent drum. I complete my task and return to the
serenity of the garden. Enjoying the sun, while I am
wearing a big hat!
City life can be a struggle and I often find ways to avoid
needless crowds that waste my time. I juggle schedules
to allow me a feeling of space. I march to my own music
and pace.

And that's what Saturdays
and weekends are for!
Enjoy the tranquility
Pauline, I too set my own pace in this zip-zip city. I'm never in such a hurry that I can't be courteous and enjoy the moment, but it seems many people are.
Yes Quilldancer, everyone is striving to be in first place, at the head of the line!Impatience is an offspring from a congested living area. Sigh, already I miss my vacation week. Hope things are looking up for you with the new schedule.
Quasar, yes a Saturday and a weekend is for relaxation. Just don't join the maddening crowds if you hope to remain calm and serene. Have a wonderful day!
Pauline,
Such a beautiful picture you paint of a perfect Saturday. So relaxing, so lovely, so serene. Yes, that is what weekends were made for.
Blessings and peace to you!
