You came into my life that day
And I was never more the same
As I watched you grow through
Childhood, fostering your care
Immersed was I with parenthood
Always thinking then would last
Forever
Now I see you as a parent
Extending knowledge of your own
To a child so young and tender
And still I watch you grow.

I like the way these three poems, each complete in itself, all come together to make yet an even bigger, richer picture. I do appreciate the wya you paint with words.
I thank you.It has been a very long time that I have been scribbling thoughts upon paper. I hope to compile them here on this blog for my children and grandchildren and most importantly for my new and respected blogger friends.
what wonderful poems. This one is so true. Children learn from their parents and then pass on what they learned to their children.
Not having any children, and at this stage of life, I doubt I ever will, I wonder sometimes what kind of Dad I would have been.

PS, I read your comment on my blog you left and I will not include you in anymore tests.
Bill, I think you are only old in your mind. Not too late for a family if that is what God plans. We are all on a different journey that is why it is so much fun to share!
