Time to Share

Four longtime friends meet
For the day
A beach outing shared with
Light conversations
Bonds of friendship
Rekindled
Words unspoken yet
Understood
We four enjoy this
Time to share
Away from schedules
And daily chores
This friendship ring
Re-forged
Is the purest of gold
We are adorned in the finery
Of lasting friendship.

Oh, I like this poem!

My sister's children, step-children their spouses and children all have the warmest most incredibly friendly relationships and I believe that it is because at least 4 times per year they make it a point for all of them to gather somewhere away from the pressures of their everyday life and really communicate and connect with each other.

I just received an invitation to their annul Labor Day long weekend camping extravaganza. I was reminded that no radios, cd players or tvs were welcome, but I could bring my favorite board game, my fishing pole and a spirit of love.

Magic how so few words can express so much.
Lovely simply worded verses

PS - Once again to thank you for your kind words at my place:

"I am quite mellow this morning and Bubbles are mere rain drops splashing dropping little messages from above, refreshing us from city pavement sending droplets of love!"
