Today is friendship day, it is marked
upon my calendar and I dedicate this
"Thank You"
For the good wave of people, those
that we do not hear enough about on
the daily news.
That ocean of volunteers, who respond
to disasters with energy and efforts to
assist anyone in need.
The good wave of shared stories, prayers, hopes
and faith reborn.
Witnessed by strangers from afar, who
lend physical and emotional strength
and support.
The reminders of each life's value.
The insignificance of material belongings
when compared
with the intangible
moments of kindness and concern
in humanity
Thank you for this display, this wave
of humanity!

Amen!
Waves of people
Indeed waves of people
can even prevent or hold back tidal waves
But sometimes the waves of the Seas have to break thru the levis and defences to prompt the spirit of human kindness anf brotherhood of man, so often set aside by petty rivalries and jealousies.
