A narrow dirt road leads the way
To fields hidden from view
Then a small clearing appears
Sweet fragrance of lavender
Fills the air
Now a footpath beckons the way
To a meadow in full bloom, multi
Color hues of lavender blend
Like gentle waves
The earth, trees and sky caress
In this place of peacefulness
Beauty beyond description beckons
Us to linger there, we pause and
Gently turn to shop from a tiny shed
Here plants and harvested cuttings can
Be bought, sweet tokens for the home
But the gift of natures caress must be
Stored within our hearts.

I love lavender. I can picture myself laying in the field you mention.
