Beyond Delicious

Yesterday,we gathered for our annual event
of apple picking. The air was delightfully cool,
the sun provided comforting warmth. Trees
displayed their autumn colors.

Roadside farm stands were buzzing with activity.
Pumpkins, gourds in mysterious shapes, corn
stalks, mums and decorative cabbages begged
for us to bring them home.Scarecrow and
haystacks were nestled for photo opportunities.
This, was before we gathered at the apple orchard
located in New Hampshire.

We are such a large group that we now fill the
hayride transport to capacity. A joy filled day
upon a hill with apple trees. Laughter shared
and overheard as friends and family celebrate
this event, that has grown into a gathering of
three generations!

Friends,family, grandchildren are gathered
like the crops of the harvest season. We share
our lives, our dreams, our fantasies, together
beneath some apple trees.

Views of hillsides with colored leaves prompt
our cameras to click attempting earnestly to hold,
this moment of joy and togetherness.

Angeldust: I was sooo relaxed the following day I "forgot" it was my scheduled day at work! After the panic attack and re-scheduling my thoughts I returned to my reality.
Thanks for the comments.

Quilldancer: This has become a beautiful moment during our year.It was our friends that had first suggested the idea. Never did we think it would become this tradition that is so joyful.
