Autumn is knocking at the door
Leaves are loosing pallor from
Night winds off the shore
Daylight now is shortened, the air
Is growing crisp
Summer days are waning
Lord, they will be missed
Yet through this change of
Natures clock, life's cycle can
Be seen
We watch the leaves of spring
Changed amber, red and orange
Such beauty to be witnessed
Slowly each leaf will fall to caress
The earth
Autumn is knocking at the door
We can watch our life story softly
Fade away as we prepare ourselves
To touch the earth, in this same way
Falling upon ground made fertile
Touched with memories of yesterdays
The cycle of a leaf that falls to kiss
The ground demonstrates life's cycle
And the circles that go round.

Beautiful words Pauline. What you've written is so true about the cycle of everything.
I enjoy the "Fall Colors" and miss the multicolors from the East. Our Autumn is over here, most leaves have already touched the ground. The Snows will soon be here. But in 6 months we will be looking forward to Spring again.
Have a Blessed Day Pauline
Lovely. You captured nature's and life's cycles so well.
