Horse Tale

The gallop of a horse takes
me through deep forest
where I experience
fresh air and the scent of earth
displaced beneath swiftly moving
hoofed feet
The gallop of a horse with
head held high displays a
regalness in strength
Courage without trepidation
Jaunting ever forward
Into another day

7 times I've riden a horse
7 times I've fallen from a horse

You have to hug with the legs!

Pauline, my uncle's horses were work animals and not much inclined to the nonesense of children. They scraped us off on fences, tree trunks and whatever they pleased, and we had neither the skills nor the strength to stop them.

I am not an experienced rider; however, I have been able to enjoy some pleasant moments. Your experience sounds a bit painful. You could however, rewrite the script for your next setting. Love Pauline
