December's Worth

Paper and pen, with lists
To write
So many errands and chores
To be done
We rush and race, become
Irritable and curt
We all lose track
Of December's worth
To slow down and simplify
In reflective moments
Of time gone by
To walk softly as
Jesus did
From neighbor to neighbor
To sit at table and share
Conversation
To speak from one's heart
And love completely
In God's gentle way
Not only in December
But every day.

I was just writing out my To Do list for December and whittling it down to the bare minimum so I can enjoy Christmas.

Christmas has gotten so commercial I can hardly stand it. I want to return to the days of stringing popcorn, making cards and being a family.

Quilldancer...why can't you string popcorn. Bet it is still fun, and we get to eat all our mistakes.Making cards is great fun too, you have the ability to write your very own hallmark poem. what is stopping you?

Beautiful Pauline, I love this. Oh like Quilldancer, I'd love to go back to a Traditional Christmas when Christ was still in Christmas.

Stay warm and visit my blog, I posted another carol for you to listen to.

Blessings
