Inside a holiday gingerbread house
Hidden behind candy canes, frosting
Dollops of chocolate, gum drops too
Are hope, joy, laughter, peace
All secret hidings that wait just for you!

Those are the same old things that always hide in gingerbread houses -- but that doesn't make them any less special or precious.

That's sweet! I remember our first gingerbread house we ever made. We were living in Germany. The trees were made of homemade lollipops.. we used gumdrops ...those circular flat candies covered the roof.. Memories of years past!

We never had a Gingerbread House when we were growing up. Mum did make lots of Gingerbread cookies though.

katie, sweet it is with all that frosting! We made no gingerbread houses this year but the rememberance of them does have a lasting flavor.
