American Beauties

Bodies distorted much like
A caricature of themselves
Anna Nicole Smith
Marilyn Monroe
John Boney Ramsey
Disrespect for women
And their place in society
Abnormal distortions appear
As live Barbie dolls merely for
Temporary entertainment
Not a person of worth with
Heart and feelings
Just a toy that lends short
Time pleasure then is discarded
Abandoned cast aside
An empty shell of loneliness with
No self worth just depleted pride
American beauties seem to produce
Heartache, discontent, misunderstanding
Of life's value and worth
Tragic that we choose to crush these
Souls encased in flesh
Tragic that we choose to limit
Their potential
To merely that of flesh.

it is so sad, and so eloquently captured here.

kinda makes us think what we live for rather than who we live for. Life has been very commercialized, exploited and sold like newspaper.
