If you shout joyfully a joyful sound
returns to greet you.
If you shout anger then anger will
be heard
If you sing into this echo chamber
then a song returns to you.
The echo chamber rule is taught to help us
understand the giving of positive notes in life,
so they may be returned; an echo of our giving.
My mother taught my children a song when they
were very young. She would have them hide out
of sight and sing
Little Sir Echo
How do you do?
"Hello"
And the child was taught to respond:
"Hello"
You're an awfully nice fellow, I can tell by your
voice
"Hello"
echo response:
"Hello"
I was reminded of this simplistic life lesson so beautifully
taught. No sermon, just a song of positive vibration, a lesson
about giving and receiving in return. This song always brought
forth a smile and laughter from both child and grandmother.
So simple a life lesson.
May you be filled with positive echoes!

A lovely way to remember we get what we give.
Pauline - I teach this lesson in my classroom and Sunday School class, but I have never done so this eloquently!
goldennib...thank you.
quilldancer...I would be honored if you choose to initiate this manner of teaching, feel free to pass it on!
pauline - thank you for this. sometimes i forget this obvious lesson when i see my kids behaving in a way that surprises me. i just need to look in the mirror. this is an excellent metaphor that will help remind me to sew the seeds that i want to see grow.
Pauline, you've written a wonderful reminder. If we only could all remember this, it is so true.
