Time Constraints

And I'm running
Although it seems at times
To be in place
Up early, ready for
My work day
Quickly scan each room
Deciding what to grab and
Place into the sink allowing
What has to be ignored
Because of time constraints
And I'm running
Out the back door with a bag
Of laundry in one hand
A bag of trash in the other
Oops, seems I don't have room
To carry my office notes or those
Window cling valentine's so I will
Literally drop the bag of trash
And with a somewhat satisfied grin
Watch it tumble down the stairs
Thinking, what a mess I'm really in
But now my hand is free to carry
The notebook that I need
I'm running out the door
Rotating bags from floor to door
I'm off now in the car
Feeling quite accomplished
As I have already done chores before
I left my house
Bills neatly tucked within the drawer
Tax time is another moment to endure
Laundry hamper emptied
Yet its duty waits for later in this day
Trash is placed in its proper receptacle
And I'm running off to start
What some call
My work day.

This made me laugh. Partly at the satisfaction that I could feel from you from dropping the bag of garbage.
Wish all garbage was that easy! We know what it's like to be that busy - and it's crazy. Yet, women do it every day.

So, you dropped the laundry in the trash can and took the garbage to the dry cleaner? No? That's the way I would have done it!

ugh - i can feel the hurry scurry in your words. isn't it funny how we call what we do when we "get there" the start of the workday, yet it starts sooo much earlier than that!

Oh, yeah, isn't it amazing all the work we get accomplished outside the 'work day'!?! lol
