Pull a child from the waters edge
go sleepless at the side of a
a feverish bed
clean up after an accident
respond to an emergency
call from a hospital
guidance and counseling
through the growing years
lots of hugs, concern and tears
tea and cookies with shared
conversation
Motherhood I believe is
the original band-aid
the hugs, the sighs, the moments
of pride
Wishing everyone whether mother or child
a special day for you to feel proud
just to be part of the human race
just to show your smiling face

Yesterday one of the little neighborhood boys kept calling my name. I was unloading hay after work and I kept asking," What Christian? "No answer.. "OK.. in a minute.. Sweetie..."
Finally, "I need a band aid."
lol.. it was a little boo boo but a big thing to this guy.. He's at least 10 or 11 but challenged.
