Seasonal Shift

Do my eyes deceive me
on this summer day
as I watch yellow leaves
float gently from the trees
from intense heat to cool
night air the leaves predict
fall touch is in the air
seasonal shift
like each life journey
is filled with subtleties
quietly observe the changes
we are mere leaves upon the
wind released from tree
where we are born to gently
fall toward mother earth in
silence we experience
rebirth cycle of the seasons
cycle of each life our journey
changed yet without end

sometimes i feel that life thrives in its subtleties.

Then sometimes i tink the bigger picture tells a more precise stories...but bigger pictures are crowded. :D

a great poem.

pauline,
I was quite surprised too, and saddened, to see the leaves already turning color, felt as tho they had just sprouted.
