Autumn's Kiss

Autumn's kiss lingers
upon the air
windows are drawn
closed holding back
cold salty air
the temperature drops
we reach for sweaters
jackets, socks
trees shiver through
the night while their
coat of leaves is painted
bright with autumn's kiss

Here we sit, scantly clad, doors and windows open, ceiling fan twirling, and I share your poem with OC. I ask him if he misses New England. He rubs his bare chest and says, "No, not really."

Hello everyone: just to let you know I'm not ignoring you; having some difficulty with my eyes. Attempting to limit my exposure to the computer. I miss visiting each of you. Next eye exam October 18th. For today I will post autumn photos of New England. Hope you enjoy :)
