Served On Ice

Delicate raindrops
served on ice the
evening news report
its hazard
this morning kissed
by rays of light these
delicate raindrops
bring delight
displaying a rainbow
dance as they glide
along each branch
as rows of frozen
crystal beads
melt into infinity

Lovely images you evoke. I find I quite enjoy them in prose -- especially while sitting here enjoying a sunny 79F afternoon.

nessa, hope you are safe and warm ;)

quilly, 79 degrees sounds fabulous to me! The beauty of nature always amazes me no matter what the season. I pray we do not receive the damaging effects of winter.

Lovely. My husband is a poet. You can see him at work on you tube. Just put in the search box David Caddy. His videos should be at the top.He promotes his new paperback Man In Black.
