The Eleventh Day

Almost forgotten now
the joy the laughter
the message of
Christmas Day
almost forgotten now
beneath the drying
boughs of green that
fall in silence
reminding us to pray
almost forgotten now
intangible gifts given
from on high
merely a silent whisper
on this the eleventh day
His birth
His gift
His promises
today beneath the
boughs that dry
almost forgotten are
His ways

Quilly, that spirit of joy and giving for the full twelve days.(I can be a minimalist) However, we rush into the new year. Sad to say we pack up the ornaments and toss in the good tidings by mistake. On a lighter note:
Loved your article on diversity and the appreciation of blooms/floweres. May 2008 be a colorful picture for you and OC;)

I like Quilly remember everyday. Thank you for sharing the post, we must pray for the one ones who celebrate Christmas for all the wrong reasons.

A Blessed Weekend is wished for you.

Bill

PS, stop by my post today, it will bring a smile to your face.
