Treaures Unseen

Our ocean
rich with plankton
green and sustaining
this gift of sea brings
whales that feast upon
its menu such treasures
lie unseen beneath the
surface of this green
thank you lord for
calling me to turn my
eyes upon your sea
where bountiful treasures
wait hidden
not yet visible to me

Pauline, with an oceanographer in the house -- and a warm ocean at my feet, I am seeing more of what lies below the ocean's surface. I know more about seaweed then I ever thought I wanted to know -- and all of it is interesting!

Btw -- I cannot write to you because I lost your email address when my computer crashed. You can pick my email address up off my Paradise site -- it's under my picture.

Your poem brings memories . . .
I would love to live near the sea again. But the occasional visit will have to do. I think my favorite for viewing is along the northern Oregon coast near Cannon Beach; favorite for swimming would have to be the peninsula near Port St. Joe, Florida (beautiful blue-green-warm water on the gulf.)

Please post your old-house photos, I seem to be the only one doing that.

Hi Pauline. The seas calm on the surface yet full of life under. Good reminder.

you make great observations and bring it out with such realism.

of whales and planktons
giants of the seas
life source of the planet
nature
is bigger than us.
