Joyfulness

A gathering of people, family,
friends, co-workers
An outpouring of well wishes
In surprise for a birthday girl
We see adults that we knew
as children
Remembering shared spaces
of time, where our lives were
once entwined
Now they greet me with joy
and understanding
For they are now on the plateau
with responsibilities: work, family,
relationship struggles
Searching, finding, leaving
Valuing the treasure of genuine
feelings
Age is insignificant
We share on equal footing
The joy of being
The gift of living
The struggle of experiencing
The treasure-trove of love
extended
We are enveloped in joyfulness
An outpouring of positive energies
That sustain our lives
This is the promise of heaven on earth
My joy spills over to each stranger I
encounter
They smile and the ripple effect of
joy is given away
Extended into infinity.

This is the best familes have to offer -- unity, love, joy, laughter, shared memories ...

It is so true about a smile to a stranger. It is so easy for us to go on our own course in life, but how many of us when we meet a stranger smile at them or say hello and keep going.

I find at work if someone is having a bad day it reflects on everyone and we all seem to get into a bad mood. But our co-workers are our extended family and we all share the happy times, and sad as well.

Have a Blessed week Pauline

So first halloween, and then setting fire to Guy Fawke's
well that should have cleared the air of any 'demons' - lol!

Als but no, All Saints and all hallows was about lighting a candle and communing with the spirits of dear departed ones, somehow got lost in the fog of ghost stories and Freddy Krugger

Bonfire night used to be about letting go - burning old furniture, old leaves, old trees, dead wood, old clothes, paintings, dolls, art , (even problems), ...
and making way for the new

But people have forgoyyen what it was all about, and like Xmas, they become just another hectic day, yo rush around shopping, cooking, dressing-up and eating ... only to find the real magic or 'sparkle' has fizzled away.

And tomorrow is just another day with the exactly same problems brought over from the previous day.

So here's wishing you a new day, in this icy cold sunny wintery day
