dead flower
its blooms
now spent
lies the secret
black pearls
within
propagating
changing
renewing
life's circle
from a purported
dead flower
a hundred flowers
will now grow
basking in the sun
providing nectar
for the bees
bouquets for a child's
hand to hold
all this
is hidden from our view
behind a dried
shriveled bloom
a purported dead flower
holds the secret of life
the gift
of black pearls
